Koti-Suomessa on tullut oltua nyt kuukauden verran. Aika menee edelleen yhtä nopeeta, paljon oon tehnyt ja nähnyt. Oon nähnyt rakkaita suomiystäviä, viettänyt kunnon mökki-illan kauniissa Vaasan saaristossa, poiminut metsän marjoja, päässyt kattomaan lätkää, nähnyt ihania sukulaisia, nauttinut lain suoman täysikäisyyden oikeuksista, leiponut tutuissa desimitoissa, vieraillut mummolassa, käynyt piknikillä/koittanut korottaa englannin yo-arvosanaa, käynyt napapiirillä upean ystävän luona, istunut joulupukin kainalossa ja seikkaillut kotikaupungissa tietäen silti minne jokainen tie vie. On tää Suomi vaan ihan ykkönen.
Euroviisut Tukholmassa on meidän seuraava tapaamispaikka, se tieto helpottaa valtavasti <3 I MISS YOU !
Kuulemisiin !
Hello !
I've been home now almost one month. Time is still going by so fast, I have done and seen many things. I've met my dear Finnish friends, spent incredible night at my friends cottage, been in the forest picking berries, seen my lovely relatives, baked without need to change the desiliters to cups, visited my grandmas and grandpa, went to see a hockey game, had a picnic while I tried to get a better grade from English, visited my amazing friend who lives near the Arctic Circle, sat in Santas lap and have been wandering around my home city knowing where every road takes you. I mean Finland is still number one for me. During my year I started to appreciate Finland a lot more than before because everything works as expected and OMG the Finnish food is so good ::)
It so funny that about one month ago I was at Jfk, totally excited about being on my way to home but also so sad that something wonderful is about to come to an end. My host dad told me it would be the first day of the rest of my life. I'm not sure if I agree because it's complicated. Thoughts about my future going around. I still have some passion left to work as an au pair and Australia fascinates me, on the other hand I'm thinking about applying to tourist guide school but then I'd already like to start studies in University. I thought after my year I would have a clear plan which I'll follow but no. If you know what kind of person I'm, then it's obvious that even small decisions are hard. Easier said than done.
I'd lie if I tell that I haven't been missing the life in the states at all. In the beginning I cried myself into sleep when I went through the pics from the year and sent voicemails for my girls. Thank god someone invented Skype because there really has been a need for that. Eurovision Song Contest next year in Stockholm is our meeting point and we are going to do it, that's a huge relief <3 I MISS YOU !
My flight back home was pretty good because we landed safely and while we were about to land to Helsinki-Vantaa airport I cried little. Flying is still not my thing and therefor I was awake the whole time when we were up in the air. On the flight to Berlin I asked from the flight attendant if I can have a glass of wine because every one else got it too and she straight away demanded how old I am. Well I told her my age and also said that I just left behind the country where I wasn't legally old enough to drink so could I please just get a glass of wine. And I got it, after that I watched two movies and listened some music. At my destination, I was so excited to pile up all my luggage in to a cart and then I just followed the exit signs which led to my dear family and oh boy then we cried again !
From the beginning of October I'll be working in a grocery store which gives a little tempo to the daily life and I also get to work with customers, I like it. Before that I'll visit my cousins close to Kuopio. I can't wait to see my godson !
But that's all this time, let's see what's going to happen with my blog then :)
See you later !
